Acer Aconia Tab A101 Bricked (unsolved case)

Setelah sekian lama absen dari dunia Android saya mendapatkan kasus baru saat kawan saya membawa Tablet Acer Aconia 101. Keadann Tablet ini ternyata bricked dimana saat coba dinyalakan, tidak ada tampilan apa-apa alias hitam gelap. Tombol power masih bisa menyala dan juga tombol home akan nyala backlightnya apabila ditekan.

Saya coba melakukan reset (dengan menekan tombol reset dikiri bawah), tapi tidak ada perubahan apa-apa. Saya coba hard reset dengan kombinasi tombol power + volume up atau power + volume down juga percuma / tidak memberikan hasil apa-apa. 

Saat saya coba riset lebih lanjut dengan mencari artikel di forum forum.xda-developers.com khususnya forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1692087 maupun di web (contohnya: www.androidtablets.net ) ternyata banyak user juga mengalami masalah yang serupa. Kondisi yang mungkin terjadi:

  1. Kerusakan Port Charger: setelah saya coba charge dengan charger asli bawaan dari tablet ini ternyata tablet bisa dicharge dengan lancar jadi bukan ini masalahnya
  2. Kerusakan memory
  3. Kerusakan motherboard

Sesuai dengan informasi di atas ternyata jawaban dari service center Acer sendiri membenarkan hal itu bahwa kerusakan ada pada motherboard unit tablet itu.

Demikianlah alhasil tablet itu gagal diperbaiki dan saya kembalikan ke yang bersangkutan. Dan saya simpulkan tablet Acer tipe yang satu ini memang bermasalah dan rentan terhadap kerusakan.



Catatan Tambahan:
  • Acer Aconia TAB A101 memiliki spek yang mirip dengan TABA100, perbedannya A100 adalah wifi only, sedangkan A101 mendukung GSM/HSDPA.
  • Acer Aconia A101 dan A100 menggunakan chipset Nvidia Tegra 2 T20. Spek lengkap bisa dilihat di www.gsmarena.com
  • Agar bisa terhubung dgn PC anda membutuhkan driver usb khusus. Driver bisa diunduh di: global-download.acer.com
